I wish to express my most heartfelt thanks to each one of our employees. They are all setting an extraordinary example of commitment, professionalism, and solidarity to our golf club and they are a great guarantee that we overcome adversity and get through the toughest of trading years. Their focus and commitment to care for our members and guests, and each other, often in the toughest of circumstances over the last few years has been amazing.

Every role across this organisation is part of a great team, doing magnificent things for our members, guests and patrons along with the local community.

This year has thrown a fair bit of adversity our way; coming out of a pandemic and battling mother nature, while also trying to achieve some major capital works along with Council projects on our boundary. There were talks of levies for the first time in a long time at the golf club. Our improved trading, support from our membership and great ideas from our staff, committees, volunteers, and directors have allowed us to trade through a tough period and we ask for the continued support of our membership to get us through to the end of this tough financial year.

The club, along with its various committees, will be working hard to put some major events back into the golfing and social calendar next year and I hope to welcome all members for these great events. The club has appointed Martin Gallagher as club historian and Martin will be making recommendations to the Match Committee to also bring back past events and trophies which will be up for grabs in the coming year. We have near 100 years of history on the Central Coast and we want to make sure our heritage lives on.

Martin will have a big task ahead of him to collate, organise, digitise and inventorise all our great golf club’s history and memorabilia and I ask all members now to please show your support and contact Martin should you have any items which will help cement out history and heritage as the oldest golf club on the Central Coast.

As always, I would like to extend a special thank you to each member of F-troop, members of all our committees, volunteers and our Board of Directors who dedicate their own time and efforts to the enhancement of our golf club. A special mention to our sponsors and all our members and guests who have made donations over the past year to help our causes. We are very proud of the all the contributions made.

On behalf of the Gosford Golf Club Board, management and staff teams we thank you for your ongoing support to Gosford Golf Club and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Best wishes,

Kieran Moran
