During September 2022 we had mixed weather which sometimes prevented us from taking heavy vehicles out on the course. We could only do rubbish and loose timber pick up when we could get out on the course.
We have also had a reduced team of workers due to illness, extended holidays and loss of F-Troop members. We have averaged 8-10 volunteers this month but have managed to get some good work done. Projects worked on when we could:
-
Rubbish and loose timber pick up around the course (walking the course when necessary)
-
Hedge maintenance
-
General garden weeding and tidying up around the clubhouse, car park and out on the course
-
Tidy up of pathways to the 1st and 10th tees including the wedding garden and practice nets, and
-
Painting the bush toilets at the 14th, replacing toilet seats, brushes and a new cistern for the men’s toilet, tidying up the greenspace gardens at the 14th.
We are always looking for more volunteers so if you have some spare time on Monday mornings to help with our projects and we would be happy to see you.
The F-Troopers meet at the Green Keepers Shed at 7.00 am and work through until 10.00 am after which we have morning tea including fresh sandwiches supplied by the club. Please contact either Peter Martin on 0437 325 207 or Jan Martin on 0400 430 088.
