It was raining heavily as we drove up to Toukley to play our pennants match against the men from the Mountain but by the time the first group hit off the rain had eased and conditions were good for the whole day.
Mangrove Mountain have always produced strong teams in B Grade and C Grade and this year they added a very competitive team in A Grade with a couple of scratch markers. We played well and Gosford had strong wins in all 3 grades. A grade won 4/2, B grade 3 ½ to ½, and C grade 3/1.
Steve Thompson had a tough day and as you can see from his lie in a bunker he wasn’t having much luck.
Next week we have the bye so we look forward to our next match at Shelly Beach against Magenta in two weeks.
