The Board of Director of the Gosford Golf Club have approved the re-writing of and insertions to the following Articles of the By-Laws
Changes to Article 2
2.10 All directors will have access to parking position near the Clubhouse and a reserved time space on competition sheets.
Changes to Article 4 sub-article 4.8
4.8 Insertion of “Note; Appendix 3 Ladies Competitions and Conditions of Play – Appendix 4 Ladies Section Rules of Operation”
Changes to Article 6
- The Vice President
- The Vice-President shall lend support to the President in providing leadership to the club overall, including the appointment of directors to committees and sections and overseeing the performance of the club
- The Vice-President shall assume the position of the President in his/her absence and will be deemed the successor if the position becomes vacant within the term,
- The Vice-President shall chair Board meetings in the absence of the President,
- The Vice-President hall become the ex-Officeo member of any standing committee in the absence of the President,
- The Vice-President shall be instrumental in the continual development of a strategic plan and ensure a strong governance program,
- He/She will be a point of contact for those interested in the club
- He/She will have a special parking position near the Clubhouse and a reserved time space on competition sheets
Changes to Sub-Paragraph 6.1 Re-numbering
6.1.2 The Captain to 6.1.3 The Captain
6.1.3 The Treasurer to 6.1.4 The Treasurer
6.1.4 The General Manager to 6.1.5 The General Manager
Changes to Article 7 – Insertion of Sub-paragraph 7.1.27
7.1.27 A member who has an illness or injury preventing them from playing may apply for this temporary membership. The application needs to be accompanied by a medical certificate
