The Club Championships will be conducted over 4 grades in both Scratch and Nett.
· A Grade – +10 to 6 handicap
· A Reserve – 7 to 12 handicap
· B Grade – 13 to 18 handicap
· C Grade – 19 to 36 handicap
Junior and Senior Championships will be run in conjunction with the above grades. All players are requested to update and check their date of birth in Miclub as the Junior and Senior comps will be populated on YOUR DATE OF BIRTH IN MICLUB. There is no need to mark on your scorecard, Please update your details in Miclub.
Time sheets for all rounds will open as normal on MiClub, you are welcome to play at any time on the given days with whatever playing partners you’d like. The top 12 players from each grade in the gross section will be seeded for the final round, tee times are subject to change and at the full discretion of the match committee.
Players in the Championship seeded groups MUST play at their allocated tee times.
The player’s grade and handicap will remain the same for the entire championships; however they both can fluctuate for the daily comps. In the event of a tie, scratch ties will result in a playoff. Handicap ties will be resolved by count backs.
All disputes will be determined by the match committee, prior to the announcement of winners.
Motorized carts are permitted in all grades.
Please Note: There will be no DOUBLE PAR in effect for the men’s championships – To be eligible to win the Club champs you MUST play out the hole.
Members Prize Money Purge
Members will be aware of the decision to purge the prize accounts on 30th June this year. The reason this decision was taken is two fold:
- Prize accounts have not been purged in two and a half years due to Covid and software changes
- Members prize account liability has increased significantly and needs to be reduced
- Miclub software can manage these accounts automatically and purge on rolling 365 day schedule which takes a lot of admin away from staff.
The Board of Directors have agreed to have a grace period for the month of June to give members time to spend their prize money accounts. As such any prize monies won in the month of June will be placed onto members top up accounts (not their prize accounts) and will carry over to the next financial year. Any member who wins a ball in June will receive a physical golf ball available to collect from the Proshop until the grace period expires.
To summarise please see the points below:
- All members prize account monies must be spent by 30th June
- All monies won in June (grace month) will be safe until next financial year
- All golf balls in June will be physical prizes available for collection at the proshop
- All monies won after 1st July, members will have 365 days from the day they win to redeem their prizes.
- Prize accounts from 1st July will be purged automatically by MiClub.
Please see Proshop staff for any of your needs to spend your prize monies. We have a large selection of suppliers which can provide all sorts of products. Members can also use their prize monies to purchase raffles tickets and the club will match your spend dollar for dollar on raffle tickets in either our golf prize draw or our membership draw. See staff on site for more details.
