I had the pleasure to take two new lovely lady rookies Marg and Allison around today to play nine holes of golf. Both ladies have had group lessons with Mitch one of our pros and have been playing some social golf with friends.

It was in a very relaxed situation and as I walked with them I explained some rules and course management. The ladies are both keen to play and very interested in now getting their handicap. They found out they need to score three eighteen-hole cards or six nine hole cards as they play any game of social golf and hand it into the pro shop.

Liz Spitty one of the lady members decided to come and have a hit with them.

Marg and Allison really enjoyed talking to her and Liz invited them to come and join her and her friends on a Sunday afternoon for 9 holes. They are very keen.  The ladies at Gosford are very welcoming and friendly. Golf is a great way to make new friends and be outside walking.

If you know a beginner, please encourage come and join us. Details below

Starting Thursday the 19th October The Gosford Ladies Committee would like to invite all new lady golfers to play in the rookies time slots, just after 9:30am. We will continue rookies golf every Thursday until the 30th November. There is a very strong possibility that we will extend the time.

Members of the committee will meet you at the first tee and walk with you and help explain rules, protocols and give you ideas. It will be a very relaxed and fun experience.

It doesnt matter your standard or if you dont know anyone, please just come along and meet new people and start playing golf. Afterwards we can even go up to the clubhouse for a refreshment.

Some ladies might like to play nine holes, others might only want to play a few to begin with. There are no rules.

To add your name to the booking sheet you can ring the Proshop 4337 3333 or you can go online and put your own name down. If there are not enough rookie slots dont worry ring the proshop and we can add more.

The ladies committee are looking forward to meeting you.
